Guitar Gibson Less Paul

Help selecting a new guitar?
Hi. I have been Playing Guitar a little over 3 years, and I have grown out of my Les Paul Special II. I am looking for a more versatile instrument, say an Ibanez with a S-S-H setup, or a Shecter the same.
It needs to be left handed and less than $500 (Australian)
Open to any suggestions except people who say, Fender Strat, or Gibson, or just Ibanez or any other one word answers.
Thankyou
My style is Classic Rock/ New Age
I like the bands; Franz Ferdinand, U2, Coldplay, Cold Chisel, Supergrass, and others along those lines

im looking to BUY a guitar not look at them
Well i bought an Ibanez RG. It's a pretty simple guitar and cost me about $200 (American USD). I'm not really sure how that goes but since the dollar is less than...well a lot of things i don't think it should be a problem. I get a good sound out of My Guitar. I'm really into classic rock i.e. the beatles etc.
I use the clean setting if I want to play little solos but there is also a deeper sound depending on the setting I put it in. Honestly I'd say look at the guitars and play around with them. Personally I don't like Fenders at all. I've played a few and really didn't care for them. I found my Ibanez and fell in love, they're really good for the sound. Also a good suggestion for you're style is probably a Epiphone or another type of Gibson thats a hollow body. Those have a good classic rock sound and you don't even always need an amp since the sound resonates pretty well
