JH Fuzz Face vs. Big Muff Pi?

Comparing the Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face to the Big Muff Pi:

1) Which is more powerful (in the way of their effect/distortion level, I know the fuzz face isn't a distortion pedal tho)?

2) Which would sound best with a single coil or humbucker guitar and a marshall amp?

3) Which would sound best thru a single coil or humbucker guitar and a fender amp?

4) Which sounds better with single coils in general?

5) Which sounds better with humbuckers in general?

6) Which is more versatile in terms of tone?

7) Which has greater sustain?

Hello, Scott! The answer to all your questions is the same: Big Muff Pi. The Fuzz Face is interesting and unique-sounding, but that also exactly describes the limitation of the pedal. In contrast, the Big Muff Pi has a much wider range of tones and usage; properly tweaked, it will sustain for days! Best regards, Dana
